michael jurick pop-up exhibition: Infrared

Renowned New York City event photographer Michael Jurick has been celebrated for his commercial photography and recognized for his work's artistry and energy. In the spring of 2016, Jurick conceived of a unique pop-up exhibition that would be the first major showcase for his infrared photography and also create a unique collaborative opportunity with other industry colleagues.  As Jurick began to formulate his first exhibition, he engaged Arisohn + Murphy to consult and execute the curatorial and installation components.

We worked with Jurick on the selection of his works for the exhibition, focusing on a strong series of images that told a compelling story, and then oversaw every detail of production, from printing to framing, representing the works at the highest level.  Full exhibition and curatorial management included writing the press release, overseeing the art installation, managing the day of site coordination, and pursuing sales before, during, and post-event.  Strong sales and press cemented Jurick's reputation as a fine art photographer and we continue to work together on artist management, sales, and exhibition opportunities.

What we did: work selection consulting, exhibition management, sales and overall strategy
