large-scale artwork project management, NYC
Galleries and artists are responsible for keeping up with a non-stop schedule of global exhibitions, an ever-growing art fair calendar, public sculpture installs and robust publishing endeavors. Often requiring detailed project management and budgeting, demanding art programming can quickly outgrow the time and capabilities of a gallery or studio staff. We have been engaged with galleries and artist studios at various stages to tackle these expansive projects and to provide flexible expertise and additional project management.
Specifically, Arisohn + Murphy has extensive experience formulating and executing projects at the intersection of art and technology, collaborating with some of the top artists, architects, technologists, and software developers today. Arisohn + Murphy has been engaged to manage the build-out, content and software creation for numerous technology projects, while also project managing the installation into exhibition and gallery spaces. Inclusive in this scope of work is the oversight of the production and budget for the technology team while also coordinating with the client to ensure project deadlines are met and tasks executed.
What we do: ensure client brand is represented through all stages of the project, maintain ownership of the project budget, schedule, and outstanding task list, source and value engineer vendor quotes, participate in weekly construction and content meetings, work with client and numerous technology, content, and construction vendors to maintain a complex deliverable schedule, host multiple meetings with the client to define technology requirements, track technology team hours and capacity numbers to ensure budget is met.
